In 1936, Irene Dunne made a departure from dramatic roles and earned her second Oscar nomination starring opposite Melvyn Douglas in the hilarious screwball comedy, Theodora Goes Wild...she also starred one year later with Cary Grant in The Awful Truth, which earned her third nomination of five. For Theodora, Ms. Dunne was photographed wearing a lovely radiant and baguette diamond ring.
