Jeanette MacDonald was one of Hollywood's best-loved musical comedy stars.  She was paired with Nelson Eddy in a serijes of well-received films starting with the 1935 MGM release, Naughty Marietta.  She was also in San Francisco opposite Spencer Tracy ad Clark Gable.  In the film, Smilin' Through, she appeared wearing this gorgeous champagne diamond ring.
