As a former swimming champion, Esther Williams made more than a splash in Hollywood in a new genre - swimming musicals.  In 1946, Miss Williams headlined a musical remake of Libeled Lady called Easy To Wed, with co-star Van Johnson.  For that film, Ms. Williams appeared in a publicity photo wearing an astonishing champagne & white diamond ring.
