Carole Lombard was a down-to-earth woman who was loved by everyone in Hollywood.  She was never caught up in the limelight and with her husband, Clark Gable, lived on a ranch in the San Fernando Valley, far from the movie business epicenter.  She starred in such classics as To Be Or Not To Be, My Man Godfrey and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.  She was always more comfortable in jeans and a flannel shirt but often wore this emerald and diamond ring to dress up her low-key style.
