Semi-precious stone.
This translucent form of chalcedony has been used in jewelry since ancient times.  As with most stones, it was ascribed certain magical properties.  In ancient Egypt, the orange-red color symbolized life.  In Africa and parts of Russia, it was valued for its alleged healing properties.  During the Classical Era and the Renaissance, carnelian enjoyed its greatest popularity and was often used as seals and in signet rings.
Carnelian stone and gold-plated brass hangings with pewter findings and gold-plated fish hooks.  Drop length is 1 1/2".  LAST ONE!
